What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department.
- Ensure all maintenance schedules are followed and completed.
- Develop and enforce maintenance and safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate services with other departments (Nursing, Dietary, Housekeeping, etc.).
- Conduct routine inspections of storage rooms, janitorial closets, and common areas.
- Participate in state and federal surveys/inspections and assist in any needed follow-up.
- Supervise all facility repairs, safety programs, fire prevention, and emergency protocols.
- Monitor and support outside vendors to ensure work is completed as agreed.
- Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals.
- Train and supervise maintenance staff to uphold safety and infection control procedures.
- Support budget planning and maintain records of department expenditures.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- 3+ years of maintenance/plant experience in a supervisory role (required).
- Strong knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand safety codes and building regulations.
- Experience managing staff and working across departments.
- Clear, professional communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical & Work Environment:
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and occasional use of ladders/tools.
- Exposure to typical maintenance noise, tools, and materials.
- Must be able to respond to emergency maintenance issues at any time.

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Nice to Have):
- Valid license in maintenance/plant operations per local/state requirements.
- Experience working in healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care settings.
