Quality Assurance Technician, AM, Dairy - Lakeland (Biotech)

• performing microbiological tests


• testing fat composition


• performing raw, intermediate and finished milk and product analysis


• performing environment tests


• flavoring product


• inspecting Plant and upholding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)


• providing accurate and timely information to department managers


• keeping records and documentation of test results


• creating and communicating laboratory reports for regulatory agencies and Publix associates


• assisting teams in applying information for process improvement and resolution of quality issues in the facility


• other duties as assigned. 

• must be at least 18 years old


• must obtain lab certification by state and/or FDA


• must be able to taste and evaluate all products


• must have analytical and problem-solving skills


• must demonstrate safe working habits


• must be able to lift up to of 50 pounds frequently


• must be able to learn and perform all positions


• must be able to work in a fast-paced environment


• must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)


• must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours


• must have excellent attendance and punctuality


• must have excellent safety work habits


• must be willing to assist other team members in other areas


• must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time                                          


• must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision


• must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions


• must possess basic math skills

• must have a two-year degree in Dairy Science, Microbiology OR other related curriculum OR two years laboratory experience or equivalent experience


• lab experience
