Mail Clerk Courier (Finance)
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Plant Operations, is responsible for making rounds from Huggins Hospital to all medical practices and other required stops, using and maintaining the mail machine, and maintenance work.
Responsibilities
Assistance:
- Assists with Plant/Maintenance duties as required
- Observes vehicle performance and proactively notifies supervisor to have maintenance/repairs done in a timely manner
- Performs routine cleanings of vehicles
- Fills in for Courier position, as needed
- Maintains mail machine
- Posts outgoing mail
- Sorts incoming mail
- Delivers/Retrieves supplies, paperwork, etc. to the medical practices, as needed
- Performs bank runs, as needed
- Performs Pharmacy deliveries to the medical practices
- Assesses the medical practice work orders and performs general maintenance, as needed
- Performs special delivery/retrieval upon request
- Operates courier vehicle in a safe and responsible manner. Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor while on the road, reflecting positively on the hospital
- Attendance: Attendance is an essential job function; employee comes to work daily, on time, and completes scheduled shift
- HIPPA: facilitates to maintain patient confidentiality

- Interpersonal relationships: maintains appropriate interpersonal relationships with staff, patients, and visitors at all times. Works as a team member with other departments
- Safety: practices workplace safety daily
- Actively participates in all hospital Service Excellence initiatives and trainings
- Attends and participates in a minimum of 50% of department staff meetings and signs off on review of 100% of department staff meeting minutes
- Completes all required annual education on or before the due date

- Minimal physical effort required with occasional light lifting to a maximum of 25 pounds; stooping; and pick, pinch, type, or otherwise work primarily with fingers

- Familiarity with computer and other business machines
Qualifications:
- Experience: Clean motor vehicle driving record
- Licensure: Valid State Driver's License
