Housekeeper (Maintenance)

Veterinary Specialty Services is a 24-hour specialty and emergency veterinary hospital committed to providing excellent, advanced care. We have provided advanced specialized care for animals, collaborating with veterinarians throughout the St. Louis area, and beyond for over 25 years. We are looking for a full-time housekeeper for our Manchester Facility. The hours for this position are Tuesday to Thurday from 12pm to 8pm, and Friday and Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
Responsibilities include:

Cleaning & sanitizing patient rooms between clients.
Extensive facility sanitization and cleaning to include but not limited to: sweeping, dusting, mopping, mechanical floor scrubbing, organization, cleaning bathrooms, taking out the trash, breaking down boxes, laundry, and cleaning outdoor space/yard pickup.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent

Comfortable around animals, however animal handling will not be permitted

Comfortable in a hospital environment where animals are sick and in need of 24 hour care (ok with sight of blood, etc.)

Self -motivated and able to perform duties with little direction

Highly-motivated team player with a positive attitude. Additionally, you must be able to work efficiently, with an emphasis on multi-tasking and prioritization and be able to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Able to handle cleaning and other needs of the hospital

Able to perform physical labor that will require lifting, bending and moving

Present a professional appearance

Prior experience in housekeeping is required.
