Title: Business Analyst - FSQAR
Location: Corporate - Beaverton, OR - On-site
Job Summary:
This role drives change within the department and the broader organization, ensuring the alignment of Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory (FSQAR) business objectives with overall company goals. Strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving skills are crucial for this role, as it requires making informed decisions based on factual analysis that significantly influence business outcomes. This role will work with various digital solutions and tools, including but not limited to Mapping, Business Process Development, System Administration, Reporting tools, and integration of FSQAR data streams.
Essential Position Functions:
1. Develops a deep understanding of FSQAR business functions across the company to ensure effective integration of FSQAR data into other enterprise systems and platforms.
2. Analyzes FSQAR software systems and data management processes to identify opportunities for improvement through automation and digital solutions.
3. Performs system configuration, mapping, analysis, and data management to facilitate transfer of FSQAR data to external customers using various tools including but not limited to sFTP, SharePoint, APIs, Microsoft Azure Eco-System (Blob, Data Lake, Data Pipelines, SSIS package, SQL), PostGres, AWS, and other cloud-based services.
4. Builds strong relationships with the Reser's IS team and Data Owners to maintain seamless communication and align with company strategies and standards.
5. Collaborate to define standards where none exist and uses best practices to create and maintain standard operating procedures, user manuals, and work instructions, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing.
6. Implements data validation techniques to verify the integrity, quality, and consistency of FSQAR data across the enterprise and external systems.
7. Drives continuous improvement by setting goals and identifying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data management within the department.
8. Manages and leads cross-functional team projects to drive successful implementation and adoption of new processes and digital solutions, utilizing change management best practices to communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders.
9. Coordinates business processes to onboard new customers into FSQAR data systems; collaborates with data stewards/owners to resolve data transfer errors or populate missing product attributes.
10. Manages backlog of issues through the company ticket tracking system and routinely reviews prioritization with stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, Quality Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
2. 7 years of experience in a business analyst role, preferably focusing on enterprise systems integration.
3. Experience using business analytics tools, project management tools, and methodologies required.
4. Experience in a food manufacturing/distribution environment or consumer goods preferred.
5. 2-3 years of hands-on experience with ITIL, Scrum, and Agile methodologies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Demonstrated leadership with the ability to influence, motivate, and build consensus across diverse teams.
2. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
3. Knowledge of retail and food service data systems, including GS1 standards, Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) tools, Nutritional Information databases, and Lab Information Management (LIM) systems is highly desired.
4. Ability to quickly integrate into the business and understand various processes.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to all stakeholders.
6. Ability to travel domestically up to 15%.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
1. Office environment primarily.
2. Occasional exposure to processing environments.
3. Occasionally lift packages up to 30 pounds.
4. Heavy phone usage, continuous computer usage.
