IT Technician I (Engineering)
Installs, assembles, and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructures and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware; pulls cables and rewires or directs the rewiring of cables as required for new installations and office reconfiguration.
Create and maintain network system user accounts
Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, email, network and peripheral equipment problems; perform repairs and corrections where required.
Acts as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and data; operates a centralized help desk to facilitate exchange of information and advice; implements solutions or notifies outsource providers as required.
Makes hardware and software acquisition recommendations including helping users assess needs and providing justification for equipment and services.
Assist in instructing staff in the use of standard business and administrative software, including word processing, spreadsheets and database management; file shares, and provides instruction or written documentation where required.
Assist with planning, design, research and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems; maintains current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommends modifications as necessary.
Input and maintain IP addresses.
Assist the Information Technology Director in protecting the organizations' computers, networks and data against security breaches, computer viruses, or cyber-attacks by monitoring security of all technology and immediately advising of a security breach.
Research current and potential resources and services.
Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance.
Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate.
Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal.
Maintain confidentiality in a department that often receives sensitive employee and resident information in addition to business information.
Maintain knowledge of new hardware and software systems.
Maintain knowledge of new network operating system.
Train staff about potential uses of existing technology and security.
Provide recommendations about accessing information and support.
Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Requires physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, sitting, stretching, turning, grasping, squatting, kneeling and reaching.
Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, thoroughness and quality of work assigned.
Aural acuity to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
Occasional exposure to infectious diseases and airborne diseases.
Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles and some mechanical equipment.
Must be able to work in a very stressful environment with clients who are upset and manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and request of clients.
Must be able to work in a very stressful environment while providing immediate IT services.
Must be able to drive and travel to Bullhead City facilities.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRANING
High school diploma or its equivalent.
Two year college degree or its equivalent.
A+, Network+ Certifications are recommended
Proficient knowledge of computer hardware and software systems, computer networks, network administration and network installation
Computer troubleshooting
Prior experience in Healthcare Information Technology preferred.
Telephone and customer service experience.
Obtain and maintain Arizona Driver's license.
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENT(S)
Complete annual Tuberculosis Testing.
Obtain/maintain Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Card at employee's expense.
Required to work irregular hours, shift work, and participate in 24 x 7 on-call rotation to support IT infrastructure and business operations
Mandated federal, state, and local communicable disease testing as required.
Schedule
This is a full-time position in a company that supports multiple health care facilities that are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This position primarily works Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Evening and holiday hours may be scheduled as necessary.
