ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
MCOM Business Office is responsible for the allocation, distribution, and management of all source revenues at the Morsani College of Medicine and USF Health Vice President's Office. Responsible for consolidation of financial reporting for USF Health. The MCOM Business Office provides support and services to the MCOM in the form of financial, budgetary, compliance, faculty state and federal effort reporting, Common Pay Source, billing & reconciliation, pay distribution, dean's academic and other faculty practice plan interfaces, funding commitments, rate analysis, deposits and tuition accounting as well as accounting services. We serve COM faculty, staff and students.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Fiscal & Business Manager of the Morsani College of Medicine Business Office and provides support for all fiscal matters for multiple areas. This position will take a lead role with the federal and state effort reporting processes to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines. This position will also serve as the Foundation Administrator for the Morsani College of Medicine.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Foundation - Perform fund reconciliations and provide reports on a regular basis to management. Create and review Foundation Check Requests and Travel Reimbursements. Verify that the expenses comply with USF policy, Foundation policy, and state guidelines. Prepare financial statements/reports for Business Office manager. Assist with the Endowed Chair Budgets process. This position will also assist with the training internal and external individuals on all aspects of Foundation activity.
Provide customer service to all Morsani College of Medicine and the Taneja College of Pharmacy faculty and staff. Includes but is not limited to all aspects of federal effort and state activity reporting, Foundation and convenience fund financial activity, as well as RETs, travel, journal entries, etc. Review current internal financial policies and procedures and suggest updates or changes as necessary.
PERT - The coordination and assistance with the completion of the federal effort reporting process (PERT) for the Morsani College of Medicine and the Taneja College of Pharmacy to ensure the timely completion and certification of the Federal effort reports on a semester basis.
Chartfield reconciliations for various University Systems and funding sources; including but not limited to the State and Foundation. This will also include journal entries, projections and financial reporting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or other field directly related to the position's specific responsibilities and 0-2 years of fiscal related work experience; or a Bachelor's degree in no specific required field and two years of fiscal related work experience; or four years fiscal related work experience.
FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.
PREFERRED:
Experience working in the FAIR system and with Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR). Experience with processing travel reimbursement requests, Pcard and other financial activities. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Experience preparing PowerPoint presentations.
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:
Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
