ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
Central HR consists of multiple areas of expertise including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Classification & Compensation; Employee and Labor Relations; Continuous Process Improvement, HRIS, HR Business Partners and Talent and Learning Management. POSITION SUMMARY:
The HCM Oracle Cloud Security Analyst will be responsible for managing day-to-day security access requests, troubleshooting security issues, and collaborating with the HRIS team to automate the provisioning of roles and Areas of Responsibilities (AORs). This role is crucial in ensuring the security and integrity of our HCM Oracle Cloud environment and serves as the Subject Matter Expert for Oracle Cloud HCM system security. The position implements the necessary controls and procedures to safeguard employment, payroll, and personally identifiable information maintained in the system and works in conjunction with IT, HRIS, functional areas, and other departments on new initiatives and projects, through testing and implementation, addressing all aspects of HR data and report security. The HCM Oracle Cloud Security Analyst also creates reports to audit and ensure data integrity within the Oracle HCM system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Security Management and Compliance: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Oracle Cloud HCM security, advising on governance, user administration, role-based security, data restrictions, and documentation. Oversee the development and enforcement of HCM security policies and strategies, ensuring compliance with university security standards and conducting regular audits. Utilize tools like Oracle's Advanced Controls module to monitor and audit roles, permissions, and users for risks.
User Access Administration: Manage daily security access requests, including provisioning and de-provisioning of user accounts and roles. Assign Areas of Responsibilities (AORs) and review role access requests for approval. Develop and implement automated processes for role and AOR provisioning.
Issue Resolution and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues within the Oracle Cloud HCM environment. Provide training and support to end-users on security best practices. Offer constructive feedback and suggestions for process improvement in collaboration with IT, HRIS, and other functional teams.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, HR, and Internal Audit, to align on security measures and implement new processes. Actively participate in projects and initiatives, providing security expertise and ensuring seamless integration. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to address security needs and concerns.
Security Awareness and Development: Stay informed on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to enhance the university's security posture. Assist in creating and maintaining security policies, procedures, and comprehensive documentation.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or other field involving software and analytical training and two years of IT related work experience; or a Bachelor's degree with no specific required field and three years of IT related work experience, OR a Master's degree and one year of IT related work experience, OR a combination of six years of IT related work experience and validated training. Preparation for a relevant IT certification is considered to be related training.
FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.
PREFERRED:
Master's degree in a related field of study in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM and three (3) years of experience in HCM Oracle Cloud security or a similar role using Oracle SQL or other related query tools to query large and complex databases. Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Software (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Cloud security tools and technologies, understanding of HRIS systems, and experience with automation tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve security issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Oracle Cloud Security is a plus
