Altec, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated Copywriter to join our dynamic team in Birmingham, AL. This pivotal role involves a broad range of responsibilities designed to drive our marketing efforts to new heights. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and editing copy for a variety of marketing content, both internal and external. This role requires a motivated individual with strong attention to detail, versatile writing style and a collaborative approach.
Primary Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and proofread content for internal and external communications, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and marketing materials.
- Assist in managing the editorial calendar, ensuring deadlines are met and content is aligned with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging consistency across platforms.
- Help maintain and update the company website and intranet with fresh content.
- Support the creation of presentations, reports, and other communication materials as needed.
- Conduct research to support content development and identify industry trends.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for content ideas and marketing campaigns.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Industry knowledge, preferred and
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field preferred, or
- 7 years applicable experience, or
- 6 years applicable experience with at least 2 years Altec experience
- Strong writing and research skills
- Proficiency in AP Style
- Some travel up to 25% may be required
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and practices.
