What You'll Do
As the Director of Finance, you will:
Supervise daily accounting functions and manage a dedicated finance team.Oversee general accounting, payroll, budgeting, claims, and accounts payable/receivable.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while adhering to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Coordinate budget preparation and prepare financial reports and analyses for the Board of Directors and organizational leadership.Lead departmental goals, audits, and policy development to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Provide supervision, counseling, and performance evaluations for finance staff.Record, post, and process daily transactions, monthly journal entries, and bank reconciliations.Prepare and analyze grant reporting for agencies like MDHHS and SAMHSA.Maintain fixed asset schedules and general ledger reconciliations.Assist in preparing budgets, invoices, and financial status reports.Develop and implement policies to align with current regulations and best practices.Represent the organization professionally at community events and meetings.Ensures Accurate and timely processing of payroll, and payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
What You Bring
