Childhood trauma can have profound and lasting effects on a child's emotional, psychological, and relational well-being. Trauma can stem from various adverse experiences such as abuse, neglect, domestic violence, or parental substance abuse.
Outpatient Psychiatry- Child and Adolescent
We seek to recruit a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a full-time outpatient faculty position.
A Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will provide outpatient support at the Children's Assessment Center and Child Protective Services for medication management and therapy, including but not limited to; Play Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Candidate should be prepared to be onsite for services.
Qualifications:
Experience or interest in research and/or education is preferred.
Depending upon the applicant's qualifications and credentials, faculty appointment as the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor rank will be offered.
