Program Supervisor- Referral (Personal Services)
Reviews staff work for completeness, accuracy, and compliance; checks files and approves actions
Recognizes error patterns and provides feedback
Trains and provides technical assistance to assigned staff
Applies knowledge of regulations effectively
Responds to questions and complaints from clients or other agencies
Works collaboratively with other supervisors/managers on issues
Supervises assigned staff
Provides ongoing training to assigned staff
Reviews and approves time off requests
Reassigns work during employee absence
Conducts annual performance evaluations
Ensures compliance with all agency safety practices, ergonomics and work rules
Knows policies in the Employee Handbook to address employee issues; works with management to resolve any issues
Conducts staff meetings, establishes agendas and training topics; assists with writing training materials
Interviews and selects staff
Attends supervisor meetings and training sessions
Meets with staff regularly to explain and implement new policies or changes
Participate as a contributing member of Child Action, Inc. (CAI) team
Integrate strengths-based strategies into services provided to parents and child care providers
Works collaboratively with other supervisors to support goals and projects of the agency
Participates in assessment, planning and development of program services
Documents and tracks participant activity for program reports and services planning
Works with other CAI unit to resolve problems, analyze, review and approve files, follow up on discrepancies, locate files, and email communication daily to units
May open and close the office to comply with safety and security guidelines
May serve on committees or be assigned to special projects
Prepares and maintains records and reports for assigned area
Performs other duties as assigned
Duties when assigned to the Referral Unit (Community Services):
Develops and oversees the grant-based, annual service plan
Develops and submits proposals to meet budgetary needs
Prepares reports and documentation for funders
Coordinates and evaluates program services
Manages and oversees processing of complaints on child care services
Develops curriculum kits and other incentives to help improve the quality of license-exempt Family, Friend, and Neighbor care
Oversees the dissemination of child care information to the public
Presents CAI services at public meetings and participates in county planning discussions to develop child care services.
Presents to the community and answers community questions to clarify CAI programs, services, and local and state child care infrastructure.
Provides resources and statistical reports to government agencies
