Position Summary — The Marketing Manager manages the daily operations of player development, casino promotions and special events. The Marketing Manager develops and implements both short- and long-term promotions, event plans and sets objectives and advances on casino floor promotions, gaming tournaments, slots, table games, and other projects for the Grand Lake Casino. The Marketing Manager is expected to serve as a public relations ambassador for all Grand Lake Casino.
Essential Functions — An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Addresses personnel matters in adherence to departmental protocols, established casino standards, and procedural guidelines.
Prepares and manages budget, including expenses related to staffing levels, capital expenditures, and maintenance costs.
Assumes Human Resources responsibilities for the department, cultivating a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, provides performance feedback, and upholds mutual respect.
Ensures high-quality compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Demonstrates professional communication skills, fostering and sustaining positive relationships with both staff and management.
Executes all duties in compliance with regulatory statutes, the employee handbook, departmental policies, and safety regulations at Grand Lake Casino.
Providing strong leadership to guide and inspire teams. Building and managing high-performance teams. Mentoring and developing team members.
Making critical decisions that impact the overall success of the organization.
Communicating the organization's vision, mission, and goals to employees.
Addressing complex problems and challenges within the organization. Implementing solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Leading and managing organizational change initiatives. Adapting strategies and operations to meet evolving business needs.
Identifying and mitigating risks that could impact the organization. Developing and implementing risk management strategies.
Providing regular reports on key performance indicators and other relevant metrics. Keeping senior leadership and stakeholders informed about the organization's performance.
Establish long-term enablement templates, tools, product collateral, PowerPoint presentations and other materials to enable sales to effectively engage with customers and win deals.
Assist in the development of incentive programs, special events and other marketing programs.
Execute and monitor strategic marketing plans, both short and long range.
Administers the Players Club loyalty and reward program for Grand Lake Casino and all casino promotions and events with the assistance of other marketing staff and casino operational managers.
Manages the reward program including player point system, redemption items, special incentive plans and special promotions.
Provides advice on segmentation of the player database, the design of player level privileges, major prizing and the design and content of direct marketing collateral materials.
Develops innovative casino promotions and events including gaming tournaments, business partnerships, specific casino marketing plans for the slots, table games, and exciting special events and promotions for casino patrons.
Generates sponsorships for major promotions.
Coordinates with outside agencies to promote and or produce promotions & events on site.
Coordinates casino promotions and events with involved departments.
Develops/creates co-operative programs to incorporate into marketing strategies.
Creates profitable casino promotions for Grand Lake Casino.
Develops and implements comprehensive pro-active plans to maximize conference center and VIP showroom usage and tournament schedules.
Maintains schedules of upcoming promotions, events, and tournaments.
Produces pre and post event evaluation reports for the General Manager.
Investigates, locates and purchases needed materials for promotions keeping in mind budgetary guidelines.
Routinely keeps in contact with VIP Guests and maintains guest relations.
Research database information to identify customer demographics and interests; consults with management on methods of targeting, developing, and informing customers of upcoming hotel/casino special events.
Maintains and updates customer database continually ensuring the highest level of data integrity, including measurement systems; maintains confidentiality of database and files.
Responsible for working and assisting with other marketing projects including but not limited to promotions, events, entertainment, tournament, trade shows, and research as directed by management.
Responsible for obtaining the written approvals for all promotions and elements used on behalf of Grand Lake Casino.
Assists in the coordination of and development of administrative projects, tasks, and special events.
Qualifications
Associates degree in marketing, communications, or related field and three (3) years of casino or marketing agency experience.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations or tourism preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The position requires a strong customer service focus and ability to work closely with other casino departments.
Ability to lead and motivate team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
Skilled in product positioning, messaging, branding, and marketing.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite; particularly: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Other Requirements — Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a preemployment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age per gaming regulations.
Physical Requirements — Physical requirements include standing and walking for long periods of time and use of whole-body motion and sitting for long periods of time at workstation. Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity, speed and concentration.
Work Environment — Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights.
Special Working Conditions — Ability to form and maintain excellent relationships with Directors and staff; Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for extended periods of time. Must be presentable when reporting to work, wearing appropriate business attire. Good personal hygiene required. Must be able to have a flexible and versatile schedule to include weekends and holidays.
