Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an early career Chemist to join our Resilience Environment team in Albany, NY.
As a Chemist, you will collaborate with scientists, engineers, project managers, and technical experts on various activities in support of diverse environmental assessments and remediation projects. You will be involved in a mix of technical work, such as site investigation, conceptual site model development, feasibility studies, pilot test plans, design of remedial systems, developing technical proposals, and providing technical support in environmental chemistry. You will use applied aquatic and geochemistry principles and software to support multiple projects. You will also support certain projects through field work, which may account for approximately 40% of your time but can vary depending on project needs.
Role accountabilities:
In this role, you will assist the development of investigation plans, conceptual site models, feasibility studies, field test plans, remedial system designs, including technical specifications, and design calculations, and assist with the development of Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, and Remedial Designs; this includes the coordination of figure generation, data management, work plans, and/or other required supporting documents. You will also provide support for project needs in the area of chemistry and geochemistry.
This role will require supporting multiple technical teams and groups that cover geochemistry, in and ex situ remediation, and fate and transport/forensic chemistry. Activities will include:

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $49,390 - $790,23. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
