The award-winning AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for anEvent Manager, Social and Weddings to join the Catering and Events team!
Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.
The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD.
In this role, you will craft events with creativity to maximize revenue and enhance the event experience. A crucial aspect is the maintenance of established relationships with weddings and social accounts. As an Event Manager specializing in Weddings and Social events, your responsibilities encompass documenting events and liaising with hotel departments and clients to guarantee uniform, superior service during all stages of the events. You will pinpoint opportunities to boost revenue through upselling and offering additional features to produce outstanding events. Moreover, you will serve as the main point of contact for the event planner following the initial handover at the venue.

What will I be doing?
Specifically, your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Minimum Years of Experience: one (1) year Hospitality related experience at manager level.
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
• Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc)
• Significant experience in revenue management or a similar analytical role
• Relevant degree, in business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution (CMP, CPCE)

Salary Range: The annual salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
