Part Time Driver (Engineering)



Job Description

MTM Transit in partnership with RideSource is looking for Part Time, CDL Drivers to join our team in Eugene, Oregon. Start a career that makes a difference in people's lives!

· $20.00 Starting Pay

· Must be Available 1 Weekend Day, preferably both days

· Training will consist of one week of classroom training, M-F, 9am-4pm, then a weekday PT schedule of 3 or more days weekly through the completion of training

· Must be willing to obtain Class C CDL within 90 Days of employment if not already licensed

· Full Time Driver positions are also available

What we require:

· High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

· Must be 21 years of age or older

· A valid Oregon Class C CDL with passenger endorsements or the ability to obtain one in 90 Days

· Minimum of 5 years driving history

· No suspensions or DWI/DUI within the last 5 years

· No moving violations or at fault accidents within the last 3 years

· Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening

· Must pass criminal background check investigation

· Possess valid authorization to work in the United States

What will your job look like?

· Provide safe and reliable transportation

· Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills

· Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

· Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle

· Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols

· Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer

· Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities

· Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required

· Complete paperwork as required

· Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required

This position is located at 240 Garfield Street in Eugene, OR.
