Receptionist Weekends Part-Time (Administrative)

Location: Linwood Meadows Care Center, Visalia, CA
Employment Type: Part-Time (Weekends)
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Additional shifts may be requested)
Pay Range: $18 - $20 per hour, depending on qualifications
Job Summary

Linwood Meadows Care Center, a skilled nursing facility in Visalia, CA, is seeking a professional and dependable Weekend Receptionist to manage front desk operations and provide a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This highly responsible position requires excellent customer service skills, strong organization, and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently. Additional hours may be available to cover for the weekday receptionist as needed.
Key Responsibilities

• Front Desk Operations:
  
  • Greet and assist visitors, residents, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls to the appropriate department or personnel.
  • Manage visitor check-in and ensure compliance with facility policies.
• Administrative Support:
  
  • Assist with clerical duties, such as filing, data entry, and distributing mail.
  • Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean and organized.
  • Coordinate messages, faxes, and deliveries efficiently.
• Communication & Coordination:
  
  • Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries and direct them to the appropriate staff.
  • Support facility leadership and staff with various administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling and relaying information between departments.
• Confidentiality & Professionalism:
  
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and adhere to HIPAA and facility confidentiality policies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work weekends consistently.
• Ability to handle occasional stressful situations with professionalism and patience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and move around the facility as needed.
• Ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds occasionally.
