Deposit Operations Clerk I (Finance)

SUMMARY: Performs a variety of duties related to assisting customers/users, review of account information, maintaining and/or inputting information in certain computer and FIS systems.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• May answer a large call volume and then assist the user and/or transfer the call to an appropriate party.
• May perform a variety of clerical duties such as filing.
• May perform input to certain computer and FIS systems.
• May perform certain functions needed to distribute customer information for internet banking customers, ATM/Debit Card customers, loan customers etc.
• May review new or updated deposit account information.
• Ensure all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE

• Position normally requires a high school diploma or GED plus such practical knowledge and skills as would be learned on the job and through training.
• Up to one year of experience is typically required to demonstrate proficiency in assigned tasks.
• PC skills and keyboarding ability.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient organizational skills.
• Refers questionable matters to management.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Works in a call center atmosphere. Environment may be noisy.
• Works under close supervision until proficiency in carrying out assigned responsibilities is demonstrated.
