Quality Assurance Engineer (Project Management)

We are seeking experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineers with hands-on experience with manual and automation testing to join our fast-growing team. We're looking for team members with at least three years of software testing experience who can work well in an Agile Team to deliver critical software solutions to a large federal program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Implement and refine quality assurance protocols to ensure we're maintaining the highest standards across all phases.
· Regularly audit our processes and products to catch and address potential issues early.
· Engage in both manual and automated testing to uncover any defects or inconsistencies.
· Update the project plan and staffing arrangements as needed, adapting flexibly to any project changes.
· Clearly define the project's goals, scope, and expected outcomes to keep everyone aligned.
· Develop a detailed project roadmap, complete with timelines and milestones, to guide our progress.
· Assign responsibilities based on team members' strengths and project needs to optimize outcomes.
· Proactively develop a risk management strategy to foresee and address potential obstacles.
· Document all testing procedures and outcomes diligently, ensuring any actions taken are well recorded.
· Produce detailed reports that not only highlight quality issues but also track trend changes over time.
· Maintain close collaboration with the product development, engineering, and production teams to ensure quality standards are met.
· Offer training on quality procedures to ensure all team members are up to speed and compliant.
· Understand the client's needs thoroughly to ensure our project aligns perfectly with their expectations.
· Maintain open lines of communication about project risks and real status to manage expectations and prepare for any adjustments.
· Adjust the pace of development and testing to meet deployment schedules without compromising quality.
· Comply with all relevant regulations and internal guidelines to avoid any legal or procedural complications.
· Develop and maintain a comprehensive RAID log to actively manage and mitigate risks associated with the project.
· Set clear quality standards for the team and hold everyone accountable to these benchmarks.
· Ensure every meeting is purposeful, with necessary decision-makers present to make timely, effective choices.
· Keep all stakeholders informed with regular updates and thorough documentation of the project's progress and any critical decisions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer.
· Ability to oversee quality assurance testing for projects, ensuring all features meet company and customer standards before deployment.
· Strong analytical skills to derive insights from data and troubleshoot issues effectively.
· Keen eye for detail to identify bugs and ensure that the final product meets high-quality standards.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting test cases, results, and interactions with team members and stakeholders.
· Ability to work closely with developers, UX designers, and product managers to understand requirements and deliver feedback.
· Understanding of testing standards and methodologies, including regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
· Strong organizational skills to manage multiple test cases and environments simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
· Knowledge of regulatory standards that may impact software development, ensuring compliance during testing phases.
· A willingness to stay updated with the latest QA methodologies and technological advancements to continuously improve the quality assurance process.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
· Experience working with Federal agencies is a plus.
· Experience with automated testing tools like Provar, Selenium, TestComplete, or QTP.
· Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Bash for test automation.
· Familiarity with Low-Code/No-Code (LCNC) platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar, is beneficial
· Experience with project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Trello to track progress and manage tasks.
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
CLEARANCE:
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
