Project Manager/Senior Water Resources Engineer (Engineering)

Primary responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining strong client relationships. Supporting business development, market decisions, and proposal preparation. Leading a highly specialized team in the development of cutting-edge water resources engineering projects. Managing projects to produce deliverables that are high-quality, timely, and within budget. Applying advanced knowledge in hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources to create innovative solutions to current and projected (climate change) floods and droughts and to optimize the use of water resources. Preparing comprehensive project reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Required qualifications:
Masters degree or higher in civil or environmental engineering or a water resources-related field required. Minimum 10 years of related experience. PE, CFM, PH, or PhD preferred.
Skill Requirements:
In addition to being enthusiastic about working in the field of water resources and adept at networking, the successful candidate should have the following skills:
Ability to engage in business development/marketing strategies, which may include the creation/review of office proposals, project schedules, budgets, and project milestones.
Excellent communication and networking skills.Experience working with models from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC), especially CWMS, HEC-HMS, and HEC-ResSim, and other numerical models.Strong computer skills. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is a plus.Ability to work independently, manage time, and work in a team. Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously, with strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Excellent problem-solving abilities, including the ability to apply ingenuity and creativity in solving complex engineering problems.Strong statistical background.Advanced knowledge in hydrology, meteorology, and programming desired.Experience with real-time flood forecasting or reservoir operations desired.Willingness to expand technical and non-technical engineering skills through continuous learning and participation in local engineering organizations or conferences.Other duties as assigned.
Compensation Package:
Salary Range: $120,467 - $170,250 annually
