The Retail Manager is responsible to oversee the operations of a retail store to ensure that sales objectives are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day retail operations which includes but not limited to scheduling and assigning employees and monitoring work resultsCreate an atmosphere that allows guests to feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxedProvide excellent customer service while assisting customersOperate cash register, complete paperwork and required countsReceive and process stock inventory, responsible for stock managementDelegate tasks to ensure financial success of establishmentRecruit, select, orient, and train employeesEnsure availability of merchandiseMaintain a clean and organized environmentAvailable to work overtime when requiredOther duties as assigned by Manager
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent preferredCustomer Service experience preferredPrevious retail experience requiredPrevious marina experience a plusAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to bend, stoop, lift, rotate, and reachAbility to lift 20 pounds
