Job Summary: The Quality Inspector will monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products or materials and implement internal quality processes. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job: Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shippingReject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectationsRead and interpretblueprints & work instructions, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and servicesMeasure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specificationsRecommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality controlDocument inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance recordsTeach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellenceSupervise the production processResolve quality-related issues in a timely mannerPerform internal auditOther duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Must be US citizen and meet any other federal program requirements Preferred Skills/Abilities: Experience with quality control techniques such as Six SigmaExperience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers and other measuring instrumentsExperience with operating a forkliftExperience in US Military Quality functions Education and Experience: Minimum of four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
