As a member of the Childhood Experiences team, the Coordinator will support the Childhood Experiences program at Children's Clinics, which includes annual signature events and adaptive recreation. The Coordinator will work closely with and support the Childhood Experiences Supervisor to create impactful opportunities for the kids and families that we serve, support events, adaptive athletics, arts and other related activities; and support a robust volunteer program including pet therapy, weekly and special events volunteers. The successful candidate will be an experienced program coordinator who is innovative and charismatic; possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, time-management and organization skills.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and one or more years of related experience as a program coordinator. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite preferred. Experience with Canva and /or other design platforms, Wordpress, Slack, and/or similar communication platforms and Social Media a plus.

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting the Childhood Experiences program at Children's Clinics, which includes annual signature events and adaptive recreation. Works closely with other members of the team to facilitates annual events, adaptive athletics, arts, and other related activities. Communicates with volunteers, community coaches, therapists, facilities, and other key stakeholders. Collaborates closely with Childhood Experiences staff, rehabilitative therapists, and volunteers to ensure the success of the program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains volunteer, event, and adaptive recreation-related records, data, and reports program-specific statistics and trends as needed
Provides necessary content and information before and after clinic events and activities to support the creation of marketing materials, newsletters, social media, press releases, event invitations, and event summaries.
Ensures Children's Clinics staff are informed and educated on the benefits of participating in Childhood Experiences and how to recruit patient participants for the program; breaks down barriers for patients to engage in activities
Collaborates with other members of the team to engage in outreach, organize volunteer and community support for the Childhood Experiences program
Assist with the coordination of Childhood Experiences events including but not limited to quarterly signature events, adaptive recreation, adopt-a-family, community events, and others as needed
Performs other duties as required and assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of youth program activities and coordination
Skill and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications
Skill in communication and collaboration with others within the organization as well as key stakeholders within the broader community
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with diverse groups including patients, staff, volunteers, donors, and community members
Ability to multitask and perform a variety of administrative and organizational tasks
Ability to engage and motivate a diverse group of volunteers to carry out tasks that are positively impactful to the organization
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
