Medtronic Cardiac Surgery is going through an exciting transformation, becoming more bold, innovative, and
committed to the customerthan ever before. The business is looking for a Downstream Marketer to bring fresh strategies in the management of our Cardiac Surgery Cannula Portfolio. This portfolio includes products to support Cardiac Surgery procedures including extracorporeal cannula, cardioplegia delivery devices, suction tools, and other accessories.
The Cardiac Surgery Cannula Portfolio is the largest, most comprehensive cannula portfolio on the market. The Medtronic Cannula business has enjoyed the title of "market leader" for decades, and recent advances in minimally invasive surgery and ECMO therapies continue to create opportunities for new cannula designs and uses. Your role will be to lead the Downstream Marketing activities for the cannula portfolio that will enable short-term and long-term sustained growth. You will be developing and executing strategies that drive awareness and create demand with a focus on customer relationships. Customer training and education is particularly important to the successful adoption of the cannula products, and you will be responsible to work with internal education teams to develop best in class training and education experiences. Building relationships will be key to this role, including relationships with our selling channel, clinical specialists, and supply chain teams. This individual needs to be a strategic thinker, analytical, deliberate executer, close collaborator, and a committed team player, focused on patient and clinical unmet needs.

A Day in the Life:
As the Downstream Product Manager, you'll spend some days collaborating with our internal marketing communications team, assessing branding and promotion strategies or developing creative content for marketing materials. Other days, your focus may be working with Training and Education to plan how to best supportregional and national industry meetings and training programs where we often host hands-on training workshops. You will spend time on the road attending these events as well as spending time in the operating room doing observational research. Some of your days will include visiting or meeting online with our customers - cardiac surgeons or perfusionists that have questions or want to learn more about our products. The candidate will ideally be based in the Grand Rapids, MI area with the rest ofthe product marketing and business leadership team.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
Product and Portfolio Management:
• Develops a deep clinical understanding of the disease state, with a focus on customer experience with product solutions
• Creates growth strategies to meet revenue targets set by the business
• Analyzes market trends to anticipate product demand needs and communicates regularly with supply chains to ensure product availa Assesses product portfolio and collaborates with cross-functional partners in portfolio rationalization activities.
• Develops deep product expertise and becomes the expert, operating as a resource for our selling channel and our customers.
• Translates understanding of portfolio and market trends into annual marketing plans that communicate growth strategies with senior leadership and organizational partners.
Competitive Intelligence:
• Understands and analyses the competitive landscape to drive insights as it relates to traditional and emerging global competitors.
• Stays current on key clinical literature and competitive activities and communicates important findings to upstream and functional partners.
• Keeps current on new and competitive technology offerings in the marketplace.
Up to 25 % travel Qualifications
External Must Have: Minimum Requirements
• You will need a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in marketing, strategy, market development, and/or engineering.
• Experience supporting a core team driving commercialization strategies, and annual marketing plans for portfolio growth
• A substantive knowledge ofthe medical device industry, health care delivery, and the factors that drive them.
• Passion for synthesizing existing and new growth opportunities into a strategic framework to drive business abjectives.Demonstrated verbal and written communication and interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate strategies and unify stakeholders, including Senior Leadership,to a common vision.
• Strong financial acumen, modeling, and analytical skills enabling business analysis, progress tracking and visibility, and data driven decisions.
• Ability to foster collaboration, influence others outside of your reporting structure, and work collaboratively across a matrix structure.
Nice to Have:
• MBA • Product Launch experience
• Strong technical aptitude, specifically in Cardiac Surgery and/orthe clinical environment
• Sales orientation or exposure to working with a high performing salesforce.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$101,600.00 - $152,400.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
