Senior Engineering Manager (Project Management)

Job Description
Site leader with direct and indirect reports that are responsible for new product introduction into the Innovation Center as well as support the technical transfer to our Manufacturing plants.
Support new businesses by creating customer engagement and showcase of site capabilities.
Ensure financial attainment of the site operational budget, as well as completing planning and forecasting required activities.
Fosters a strong quality culture as well as compliance with site and corporate procedures.
Maintain a safe environment that meets the company standards, OSHA and local regulations.
Support the digital / automation strategy to deliver a strong return on investment that will enable improved quality, lower inventory levels, improve output per square foot and shorten the supply chain.
Seek out new opportunities that will advance our manufacturing capabilities to enhance our core competencies.
Provides direction and guidance regarding manufacturing requirements during the product development process, assuring product compatibility for manufacturing operations with a strong focus on process safety.
Develop cost estimates for manufacturing and assembly processes of NPI projects.
Responsible for implementing capital investments with regards to advancements in manufacturing and NPI.
Responsible for hitting new product introduction key performance metrics (quality and cost) and supporting the technical transfer to manufacturing sites.
Develops solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity, creativity; leveraging personal expertise and the expertise of internal and external resources to define and execute innovative solutions.
Communicate and interact with others throughout the organization in a way that builds effective working relationships.
Demonstrates ability to influence without direct authority to drive projects to completion.
Able to clearly communicate ideas both orally and in writing including delivering presentations in a formal setting to executive management.
Define, maintain, and communicate site metrics to support improvement initiatives.
Required Experience:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Automation).
Work Experience
At least 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Engineering Management, Process Engineering, Manufacturing preferred)
5+ years of experience in project management successfully leading projects from concept to launch.
At least 4 years of experience leading technical teams with a proven record of coaching, mentoring and developing junior engineers.
Highly motivated to innovate manufacturing process with technologies and automation.
Excellent analytical and decision making skills.
Strong business and financial acumen, including business case development and capital management.
Effective communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business administration, project management, engineering management or operations.
Medical Device, GMP environment experience.
Experience in operational roles in manufacturing environments.
Experience with new product introduction.
Working knowledge of ISO 13485 & ISO 9001.
Knowledge of state of the art manufacturing technologies, including Manufacturing Executional Systems (MES) systems and automation.
