Materials Planner (Administrative)

Forecasts material needs for manufacturing processesEstablishes appropriate material inventory levels and determines reorder pointsAnalyzes, oversees, and coordinates the ongoing logistical functions of the company for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of using the companies established Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) toolWorks with other departments, such as sales and purchasing, to ensure optimization of inventory level.Prepares lists and purchase orders to obtain required materials, tools, and equipment
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to read and interpret blueprints to draft clear and detailed manufacturing procedures
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in related area preferredAt least 5 years of experience in related disciplines
