substance use.
Office Support Supervisor is responsible for overall management of the program, ensuring efficient and effective operational performance by working closely with the physicians, clinicians and View Point Health's offsite Central Billing/Financial Office. Will oversee daily operations of the program by managing front office staff and client relations in multiple programs and achieving operational goals.
Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Performs a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions/processes or a few specialized or essential clerical functions in support of a unit or office and related personnel. May enter data and/or process documents and records. The work includes operating standard office equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Directing, supervising, and coaching front office staff; ability to delegate authority and empower office staff to perform their assigned duties.
Managing the flow of the program to ensure compliance, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Problem solving and addressing issues raised by clients, staff and carrying out all established policies.
Provides day-to-day oversight and administrative leadership and support to subordinate staff in medical records and consumer care.
Interviews, recommends hires, trains, and evaluates performance of staff. Schedules staff coverage to ensure adequate coverage for all functions during working hours.
Serves as primary contact and resource to program staff for administrative information and technical assistance. Resolves routine administrative problems independently.
Performs liaison functions between service providers and clients. Responds to questions, requests, or needs based on specific knowledge of the program and its operation.
Obtains and provides information and assistance to resolve or facilitate the resolution of problems.
Functions as Financial Representative for the center. Works closely with Eligibility Department, Billing/Revenue Cycle and QA.
Ensures complete financial and demographic information is obtained on clients. Assists with checking eligibility and authorization status.
Regularly monitors the center facilities for maintenance and safety issues and facilitates fire and safety drills and related record keeping.
Maintains time and leave records for program staff.
Consults with approving supervisor to resolve issues.
Monitors supplies and orders replenishments. Stores and issues supply appropriately.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND Two years of experience required at the lower-level Admin Support 3 (GSS082) or position equivalent. Must show ability to lead or supervise a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical office experience Minimum 1 year experience working in a medical/mental health setting.
Have outgoing, engaging and personable communication skills.
Experience working with insurance and billing.
Experience using Carelogic or other electronic record systems.
Excellent computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and
Med Terminology is essential.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
