Manufacturers' Golf & Country Club 511 Dreshertown Road, Fort Washington, PA 19034 Position: Pool Manager Department: Pool Classification: Seasonal Position Summary The Manufacturers Golf & Country Club Pool Manager will be a highly visible leader that is responsible for all coordination of pool personnel and pool activities. The Pool Manager will report directly to the General Manager/COO and will oversee all pool operations. The Pool Manager will be responsible for hiring, training, on boarding, and scheduling lifeguards to confirm the pool grounds are always kept safe and at a high standard for our membership and guests. This is a summer seasonal position with administrative work starting in April, the pool grounds opening in early May, and the pool closing around the Labor Day holiday when the summer concludes. The goal is to ensure the Clubs pool experience is always maintained at the same high standards that are set forth in other areas of the Club. This includes the safety, overall health, and the member and team experience of everyone at the aquatics facilities. Oversee lifeguards, pool membership, pool parties and other activities around the pools. Supervises operation and repairs of the entire Pool Plant System and maintains local and state health requirements of chlorination, PH and other health regulations. Responsible for pool start-up, close-down and upkeep of all pool equipment and facilities, pool chairs, diving boards and locker rooms Hires lifeguards that exhibit qualities that show maturity, enthusiasm, are well groomed and diplomatic. Schedule and supervise lifeguards to ensure all safety standards are Implement safety protocols and training to ensure emergencies are handled correctly. Responsible to see that the lifeguards maintain general cleanliness around the pool grounds and locker rooms. Create and implement standards for daily procedures. Oversees all scheduling, payroll and clock-in times are up to date daily. Ensures all lifeguards have proper certifications and proper documents for employment at the Club. Attends Recreation Committee meetings and serves as the Staff Partner to the Recreation Committee. Works with the General Manager/COO to propose operating and capital budget proposals. Works with the Head Swim Coach to provide management and direction for inter-club swim meets. Coordinates season opening and season closing procedures with Director of Maintenance and Head Swim Coach. Works with communications department for promotion and updates on all aquatics operations. Completes any other reasonable duties/task assigned by management. Requirements: Must be certified in CPR/AED response and be able to test lifeguards for swimming, CPR and First Aid requirements. Must know Pool Plant System maintenance and operating tasks. CPO encouraged (Certified Pool & Spa Operator Certification Program.) Must know local and state health requirements of chlorination, PH, and other health regulations. Must have scheduling skills to avoid overtime. Must be highly organized to onboard new lifeguard teams each summer.Must have ability to deal directly with club members, guests, staff, and committees in a professional manner.
