View Point Health Adult Residential Substance Detoxification is a short-term, 24/7 acute care, detox unit located in Covington, GA. Care is primarily focused on supervision, observation, and support for individuals during withdrawal management. Residential Withdrawal Management is characterized by its emphasis on medical monitoring and/or on peer/social support. We are looking for a Residential Care Provider to join our multi-disciplinary team to monitor general client activity, observe and report behaviors of adult clients with a substance use disorder and/or co-occurring mental health disorders who are experiencing sign of moderate to severe withdrawal symptoms. We provide person-centered care and assist with implementing our unit programming based on evidenced-based practices for substance use detox, brief treatment, and early recovery support. The position requires flexibility in job tasks and scheduling to accommodate needs of the facility to include some weekend and evening coverage. This facility requires alternating holiday coverage between all staff.
Under supervision learns to perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides comprehensive Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder assessment services to Child & Adolescent and adult clients seeking treatment services.Provides initial diagnosis (DSM-5); works with client to prepare a Treatment Plan based on assessment info, diagnoses, identified strengths, needs, preferences and resources to develop appropriate goals and objectives.Provides reauthorizations/updates as needed, via state CONNECT system.Provides Crisis Intervention services: assesses level of risk & develops Safety Plan, Suicide Risk Assessment; Refers client to the appropriate level of care.Completes and submits requests for authorization required by clients payer source or insurance plan. If needed, initiates, and submits 1013 and facilitates transfer to inpatient setting.Complete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs.).Participate in clinical supervision to increase competence and address any areas of needed improvement.Facilitates groups with clients with topics tailored to early recovery skills (i.e., psychoeducation, skills and some process groups).Writes timely progress notes that relate directly to the treatment outcomes described in the treatment plan within 24 hours.Provides crisis intervention services as needed and facilitates transition of care for clients needing to access an Emergency Receiving facility.Completes discharge summaries and other documentation and reports accurately and timely.Assembles, analyzes, and interprets new/updated information about the client in order to reassess treatment needs.Identifies unmet needs, reviews available resources, and modifies the treatment plan as indicated.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND eligibility to be licensed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fully or Associate licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMSW/LAPC Two (2) years of supervised experience in assignment.Experience working with individuals who are diagnosed with substance use disorder. Experience in social service delivery and ECR. Experience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMR At least one year of clinical experience working in Community Mental Health Care with SPMI, SUD &/or Co-Occurring Disorders Previous experience conducting assessments or working with clients experiencing mental health emergency (1013s)
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Requires long periods of sitting/standing. Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy. Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting) Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
