Job Overview: Linde Gas is currently seeking a Production Technician in Columbia City, IN. The production technician will be responsible for a safe, reliable, and efficient operating of (1) Cryogenic Air Separation plant, and (2) VPSA - Low purity Oxygen plants. The role will include, but not be limited to performing routine operating, starting/stopping of equipment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role requires the demonstrated ability to work across departmental lines. Responsibilities: - Reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics, Process Diagrams, and Electrical One Line Diagrams - Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and evaluate equipment performance. - Perform calibration of process analyzers and have the ability to troubleshoot control systems. - Have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point) - Monitors process performance and makes appropriate adjustments to remedy deviations and align to the specified norm. - Operates units to continuously supply products in quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations, quality standards and daily customer requirements - Safely troubleshoot and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, gas burner systems, and valves. - Operating forklifts/man-lifts - Working outdoors in various weather conditions - Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections and compliance tasks - Good communication skills (inter departmental, team members, contractors, etc.) - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. - Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. - Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and endure outdoor environments. Preferred Qualifications: - Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or technical apprenticeship. - 5+ years of production operations experience in an industrial environment.
