Carpenter I (Finance)

Provides basic craftsmanship as a carpenter in the areas of construction, maintenance, and repair of building structures.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Assist with general carpentry work in alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings, floors, roods, stairways, partition, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding forms, wood fixtures and furniture.
2. Builds cabinets of various sizes and designs, builds tables, doors, shelves, bookcases and a wide variety of specialized laboratory articles of wood.
3. Performs basic to moderately complex bench work in shop, hands doors and windows, lay linoleum and tile floors.
4. Cleans, sharpens, and repairs hand and bench tools.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
None
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years of carpentry experience
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
