QA/QC ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION INSPECTOR (Finance)
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS and CERTIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in international standards and codes such as IEC, NEC, API, and ISO 9001.
- Working knowledge of testing and inspection tools, including megger, loop testers, and process
simulators.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLCs, and distributed control systems (DCS).
- Strong understanding of hazardous area classifications and associated electrical safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and project management software tools.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience as a QC E&I Inspector or Lead in the Oil & Gas or power generation industries ( ideal is a strong Experience in LNG plant)
- 10 years quality experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environments for large-scale capital projects involving hazardous materials and complex design requirements.
- Proven track record of supervising electrical and instrumentation activities on projects for at least 5years
EDUCATION
Minimum education level:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- A degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering is preferred but not
mandatory.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a QA/QC E&I Inspector, you will:
- Supervise the installation, inspection, and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure
adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Perform quality checks on raceways, cabling, grounding, lighting, control panels, motors, and
instrumentation devices.
- Review and verify the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for E&I activities.
- Inspect and validate contractors' work during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning
phases, ensuring proper documentation and resolution of any discrepancies.
- Conduct punch list inspections and ensure the closure of non-conformance reports (NCRs) in a timely
manner.
- Monitor compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) requirements, promoting a strong
safety culture on-site.
