Sales Rep Regional Acute Care (Healthcare)
Job Summary
Responsible for selling various medical products and solutions to customers within their sales market, and within a territory comprised of accounts located within a predetermined region.Job Description
Take ownership and leadership of regional territory accounts, grows the business. Develop meaningful relationship with new customers and deepen relationships with existing customers.
Sell medical solutions to all levels of decision makers including owners, senior clinical officers, and purchasing managers. Present new products and initiatives; educates customers on current industry trends and regulations.
Make cold calls and prospects to develop new business and growth opportunities. Call on the sales division market contacts within their region.
Develop a strong knowledge base about Medline's large product catalog and numerous value added programs and services. Prepare business reviews, bids, and negotiates contracts.
Collaborate between customer service, sales administration, and sales management to complete job functions.
Measured by year-over-year sales growth with quota and incentive program achievement.
Required Experience:
Education
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
Work Experience
At least 2 years business-to-business sales experience with a track record of demonstrable sales growth and quota attainment.
Willing to travel at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Background in commissioned, tangible product sales.
Ability to present on and be knowledgeable of multiple product lines. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a detail focused, results oriented environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be people-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service focus. Ability to deal with difficult situations in a positive manner; skilled in problem solving techniques.
Candidates must be able to function productively within a fast-paced, multi-tasking, entrepreneurial environment; Proven ability to manage full life-cycle projects and bring projects in on time.
SAP experience.
Computer proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
