Business Intelligence Manager (Finance)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Business Intelligence (BI) with a strong focus on business strategy, insights, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Power BI to drive business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and lead the transformation of data into actionable insights that support organizational goals. As the BI Manager, you will collaborate with various divisions, companies and departments to bridge the gap between business needs and data analytics, ensuring that our data strategy aligns with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Intelligence Strategy: Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive BI strategy that aligns with business goals and provides clear, actionable insights.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership, product teams, and other business units to identify key metrics, data needs, and reporting requirements that support decision-making across the organization.
• Power BI Expertise: Work with IT and business leads to design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that are tailored to the specific needs of the business, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and actionable insights.
• Team Leadership: Train and mentor team members on BI tools and techniques
• Utilize Agile methodologies to manage BI projects, ensuring iterative improvements and timely delivery of solutions.
• Business Insights Delivery: Provide clear business insights from data analysis and visualizations, guiding business leaders in understanding data trends and leveraging them for operational improvements.
• Data Governance & Quality: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of business data through proper governance, standards, and best practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest BI trends, tools, and technologies, recommending new solutions to enhance reporting, analytics, and business processes.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, data engineering, and other internal teams to ensure data pipelines and systems are optimized to meet business intelligence needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience:
• 10 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-driven roles, with a strong focus on using BI tools to drive business outcomes.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and creating interactive reports and dashboards.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of how to translate business needs into actionable data solutions.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret data to provide strategic insights.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights in a clear, actionable manner to business leaders and stakeholders.
• Leadership experience, including managing teams and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL or other database query languages for data extraction and analysis.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
