Our auction subsidiary, JJ Kane, currently has an on our Compliance team for an Audit Specialist in our offices located in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. Strong reading comprehension in relation to multiple state licensing and compliance requirements, both internally and externally. This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Major Responsibilities May Include:
- Audit how we are conducting our business against both internal and external requirements.
- Review deal jackets from previously completed purchases, and ensure the contents, documents, signatures, and timeline all comply with both internal and external requirements.
- Work closely with the accounting team Confirm we are complying with the terms of our various contracts with customers.
- Regularly review auction items in "pending" status to confirm they would not fall on the "do not auction" list, keeping these items off our sites.
- Perform audits verifying that operator's manuals are being provided with applicable units, and other internal requirements are being met.
- Help the team manage the ongoing operation of the site access waiver of liability that has been implemented across our premier sites.
- Perform audits verifying that MAB / CSN are satisfied before listing for sale, or we are communicating appropriate verbiage in the item description if they are not .
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to automotive dealer operations.
- Work with Managers to:
- Create and maintain audit processes and procedures related to multi state licenses held by the business.
- Participates in continuous improvement events when requested.
- All other duties as assigned.
Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Applicable bachelor's degree (preferred) or 6 years applicable Altec Experience.
- License application and renewal experience preferred.
- PC Skills using spreadsheets, word processing, and other office management applications required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work independently to manage their time and tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude, product or industry knowledge preferred.
- Must demonstrate the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines while producing quality work.
- Demonstrated Customer and People Skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
The job level can be adjusted at time of hire if the candidate meets the qualifications.
