Supply Specialist (Project Management)

The Supply Specialist shall assist in performing supply functions. Personnel performing this work should understand AFI 23-101, Material Management Policy and the AF supply system operation.
Key responsibilities include:
Research, requisition, and initiate follow-up procedures on parts requests within their control.
Order items through the Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S).
In the event ILS-S is inoperable, you will order XB3 items and consumables via Post-Post.
Track and update TNBs, when required, and FOM bins for accuracy and storage.
Responsible for handling, maintaining, and controlling hazardous material, waste, and Initial Accumulation Points (IAPs) IAW AFMAN 32-7001, Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 90-8, MHAFB HAZWASTE Accumulation Point (AP) Manager Handbook.
Verify HAZMAT labeling, expiration dates, container serviceability and required safety precautions prior to use.
Assist with coordination of transportation, palletize tools and equipment, operate forklifts, stage pallets, and load pallets onto trucks.
Maintain the support section (composite tool kits, CTKs/special tools, E-Tools, test equipment), mobility equipment and supply support functions to support the production effort.
Any and all other duties as directed by the Program Manager/Site Manager.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Minimum six (6) years previous experience in USAF Supply duties.
Prior aircraft maintenance Support Section experience highly desirable.
Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
Primarily in an office and hangar area environment. May require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate although it could be loud if near the aircraft parking apron. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing thru a hazardous area.
