Assistant Food and Beverage Manager - Embassy Suites Fort Lauderdale (Finance)

The vibrant Embassy Suites Fort Lauderdale is seeking their next Assistant Food and Beverage Manager!

This 364 room hotel boasts almost 13,000 square feet of meeting space with an iconic sky-lit tropical atrium, flexible ballrooms for up to 570 guests, and indoor-outdoor venues.

In this role, you will be overseeing both Front of the house and back of the house of the Restaurant, banquets, Breakfast, and Happy Hour - Manager's Reception. You will report directly to the Executive Chef and will oversee a total of 10-12 team members per shift

The ideal candidate for this role will be a driven, hands on, engaging leader with 2-3 years of Food and Beverage leadership experience. Hotel management experience is a plus!

Shift Pattern: Varies - open availability is required

Pay Range: $50,000 - $52,000

What will I be doing?

• Assist in the management of all Food and Beverage operations to include, but not limited to, guest service, food and beverage quality, inventory management, outlet reservations and occupancy, systems management, budget and forecasting, marketing, report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation
• Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation and monitor cost and portion controls
• Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
• Meet and greet guests and respond to guest inquiries, requests and issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and resolve guest concerns
• Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing and training team members
